“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
Fear is a spirit – an enemy that should not be part of us, but is something we must actively fight against.
The spirit that God gives us is full of power – power to overcome that spirit of fear, so that it can be replaced by love, thankfulness and hope. God’s word contains exactly what we need, and there we can also found the weapons to overcome whenever we are tempted to give in to the feelings of fear. And there in God’s word, we will find strength:
