God’s purpose or specific assignment to man will never deny him of his free will to choose to obey or not obey. God gave man the right to free will and will never violate or take away that right.
Therefore, to submit to the dealings of God is to take advantage of God’s grace to fight what God He is against in your life.
He deals with us through His goodness that we see in His Word, leading us to change our mind or get a right mindset, so we think in line with the Word. His correction is not harsh. God uses His Word to speak to us, train us, and teach us in order to mature us. The second way that God deals with us is by His Spirit.
He is faithful to us and therefore deals with us as He sees best, and because we are all different He deals with us in different ways. He afflicts us, disciplines us, for our good always, because He loves us and wants the best for us
