God’s desire is for His Church to be forewarned about the events of the second half of the seven-year period that will take place against believers in Christ. He gives us this warning so that His people are aware and spiritually prepared to endure the onslaught. Knowing these things before they take place will be an encouragement amid a dark time.
The word Anti-Christ refers to something that’s “against Christ” or is “instead of Christ.”
It’s important to note that the Antichrist is not an atheist but he is opposed to Christ.

1. He Shall Claim to be God & Will Seek to be Worshipped
Paul writes, “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonian 2:3-4
The Antichrist will claim to be God incarnate and his aim will be to have people worship him as God.

2. He Will Blaspheme God
It is written, “Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.” Revelation 13:6
The Antichrist will openly make fun of and blaspheme God.

3. The Antichrist Will Rule In Full Authority
Revelation 13:5 says, “And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for 3 ½ years.”

Interestingly enough, the Bible states that God will allow the enemy to have authority on the earth.
Those who do not worship the beast will be persecuted and killed.
