To be a Christlike leader means first to be Christlike in character.
Leaders possess legitimate, God-given power and authority, but Christ-like leaders exercise these with exceptional wisdom and restraint. Being a spiritual leader isn’t about having a commanding personality or having a winsome personality. It isn’t about powerful preaching or persuasive teaching. It is about being Spirit-filled, declaring the truth, and being gracious in relationships with Christlike approach.
Be someone who can be identified as a follower of Christ, through the characteristics of Christ in you. Be someone who exudes love, joy and peace, just as Christ does (Matthew 9:36, Isaiah 9:6).
