God is light, He operates by light and there is no iota of darkness in me.
God does not operate in an atmosphere without light, that was why He had to set up His workplace in the beginning with light, even before He started anything. And so, if anyone is going to know Him truly, there is need to understand Him as light. He has given us a call to also operate as light.
