If God says He wants to change man and make him progress to a new land, then there is a need for a change in mindset.
A mindset simply means a mind that is set and fixed, and almost impossible to move.
The land of Canaan was a land promised to Abraham, but before Abraham could take hold of the land, some people have already occupied the land. So somehow, the children of Abraham found themselves to be sojourners and eventually they found themselves to become a native of a foreign land. Israel became a nation in a foreign land and that nation became what formed what they know and what they do, Egypt created the knowledge of Israel.
Egypt then is a place that formed you, a place that shape your character and formed who you are. Egypt is a place that form you, Egypt cultivate what you are hungry for. Canaan is a place where God wants you to be.
Hence, when God wants to change a man from what he is to what God desire, there is need for a change of mindset.
