Man is not a spirit, but he has a spirit that God put in him. In the event of creation, God embarked on a project to create a man after his image, and not a spirit. There is a reason God created man as a physical being and also there is a reason why he put his spirit into the man for another assignment. Believers must understand these two events and the purpose behind them for them to maximize each entity God has given them i.e the physical being and the spirit being.
