Marriage institution is orchestrated by God to fulfill a particular purpose of God’s agenda, he created it as a means to an end.
God want everyone to adhere to the purpose of marriage union, his expectation is that everyone who is into marriage should live up to the purpose. There is a specific assignment in which God want every married person to accomplish.
