When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, the Bible says we receive supernatural help from the Holy Spirit.
Because of that help, we become more like Christ. God wants us to have faith and to increase our faith.

Regarding His second coming, Jesus emphasized the importance of having faith
He asked this question: “When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)

Why was Jesus concerned about people having faith?
God expects us to have faith and to grow in faith!
And if we really believe God and live according to that faith, then God will be pleased.
But lacking faith and failing to live by faith displeases God.
Your faith is like a muscle, and you must do what you can to keep your spirit alive daily.
