It’s God desire that we love our neighbour as ourselves. To love others as ourselves entails us first loving ourselves before loving others. We can only love others in equivalent to how we love ourselves because we can’t give what we don’t have.
We must first understand and know how to first love ourselves before we can fulfill the commandment of loving others.
